What is on your kitchen floor?

Knowing how much you love having people in your home (R...Again, the only one who will read this *S*), I thought you would appreciate this. Not to mention the fact that you have three kids!

Today I was the proud hostess of a Baby Shower for a friend from work. I spent yesterday afternoon and this morning frantically cleaning my house...even though it was a back yard BBQ. One of the many tasks included scrubbing my kitchen floor.

Before the shower began, a friend came to help with the decor. As I opened my fridge to put her salad in, out fell a container of blueberries. Yup... they scattered...all over the floor. ARG! At least they were easy to clean up.

As more people arrived, the fridge got more and more full. As I was preparing to take the food outside, I opened the fridge only to have the plate of cut up tomatos and onions fall... yup... face first.... on the floor. This time I had to scroll through my vocabulary to find a word that would not be offensive to my 7 year old guest. I think I came up with... BUGGER! I guess we were not having onions and tomatos afterall!

Everyone had left but the guest of honour. I was putting the leftovers into containers and into the fridge. I opened the door one last time, and wouldn't you know it... one of them fell out. Greek Pasta Salad this time. Pasta, olive oil, olives, onions, feta... the works. Splat! The guest of honour swore before I had the chance to say anything. She was of course covering the "ears" of her very pregnant belly!

It is now 230am. Apparently after working three night shifts, my body thinks I should be awake rather that being tucked into my cozy bed. Tired of the tossing and turning, I went downstairs for a drink. I opened the fridge. I had 3/4 of a Strawberry Mousse Cake... apparently the lid was not on all the way. It slid off the stinken shelf, and landed top down on the stinken floor. There were no words that could express my feelings. Instead, I cried.

So what is on your kitchen floor?
